Terms of service
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Martin Vichnál, Budapest, Hungary (“we”, “us”), the operator of MindWren. They apply when you create an account or use MindWren through the website, the web app, Telegram, or an AI app connected to it. Please read them; by creating an account you accept them. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the rights the law gives you.
1. What MindWren is
MindWren is a personal assistant service. You tell it things (tasks, promises, facts, pictures, questions) and it files them, connects them, reminds you, and answers. With your permission it reads your mail and calendar, sends you messages on Telegram, and lets AI apps such as Claude or ChatGPT work with your information. What it can do at a given time is described in the app and on the Help page.
MindWren is a tool for organising your own life and work. It is not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and it is not an emergency service.
2. Early access
MindWren is in early access. It is free, accounts are opened a few at a time, and features may change, be added or be removed as we learn. Because it is early, there may be more bugs and interruptions than in a finished product. We will give you reasonable notice before early access ends and before anything you rely on goes away, and you will never be moved onto a paid plan without choosing one.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to have an account.
- An account is for one person and is tied to the Google account you sign in with. Keep that Google account and any keys you make for AI apps or coding tools secure. You are responsible for what is done with them; switch off a key straight away if you think it leaked.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has got into your account.
4. AI and its limits
MindWren uses an AI model to understand what you tell it, to read your mail, and to write answers, briefs and summaries. Its replies are generated by AI, not written by a person. AI can misunderstand, miss something, or state something wrong with confidence. Check anything important (dates, amounts, commitments, what someone said) before you rely on it.
You control what MindWren may do on its own under Settings, “What MindWren may do”: each kind of change can be set to Do it, Ask me first, or Never. Most changes can be undone in Activity. More on How MindWren uses AI.
5. Your content
Everything you put into MindWren or connect to it stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run MindWren for you: to store it, process it, send it to the providers listed on Service providers, and show it back to you and to the apps you connect. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backup copies that expire as described in the privacy policy.
You are responsible for having the right to use what you put in, including information about other people in your mail and calendar, and for using MindWren in a way that respects their rights.
6. Services you connect
MindWren works with services run by others, such as Google (Gmail, Calendar), Telegram, GitHub, and AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT and Codex. You connect them yourself, under your own agreement with them, and you can disconnect them at any time. Their terms and privacy policies apply to what happens on their side.
We are not responsible for those services, for changes they make, or for them being unavailable; if one changes in a way that stops a feature working, we will try to fix it but cannot promise to. When MindWren acts in a connected service (for example adds a calendar event), it does so on your behalf and within the permissions you set. AI apps you connect act on their own, using your MindWren within those same permissions; what they do with what they read is between you and them.
7. Acceptable use
Use MindWren lawfully and fairly. In particular, do not:
- use it for anything illegal, to harm others, or to store or send content that is illegal;
- try to get into other people's accounts or data, or into parts of MindWren you are not meant to reach;
- attack, overload, scan for weaknesses, or disrupt MindWren or the services it relies on (if you find a security problem, please tell us at [email protected] instead, and we will thank you);
- get around limits, for example by opening several accounts, sharing an account, or automating use beyond what a person would do;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer MindWren, except where the law allows it;
- use MindWren to send spam or to break the usage policies of the AI providers we use.
8. Fair use and limits
AI costs money each time it runs, so every account has a fair monthly allowance of AI use, background processing and storage. During early access the allowance is generous and we will contact you before limiting a heavy account. When paid plans launch, each plan's allowance will be stated on the pricing page, and the app will show how much you have used. When a month's AI allowance is used up, the AI features pause until the 1st of the next month; everything else, including all your data, keeps working, and you can move to a bigger plan at any time.
9. Paid plans
Paid plans have not launched yet. This section says how they will work, so it is clear in advance; it applies from the day you choose a paid plan.
- Price. The price in euros, what the plan includes, and the billing period (monthly or yearly) are shown before you buy. Prices for consumers include VAT.
- Changing plans. You can move to another plan at any time. The difference is worked out in proportion to the days left in the current period.
- Payment. Payment is taken in advance for each period by our payment provider, Stripe. Invoices are issued electronically and sent by email.
- Renewal and cancelling. A plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the app, as easily as you subscribed; the plan then runs until the end of the period you paid for, after which your account moves to the free plan. Your data is not deleted because you cancel.
- Price changes. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect for you. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it applies.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we try again and tell you. After a grace period of at least 7 days, the account moves to the free plan's limits until payment is made. Your data stays.
- Refunds. Apart from the right of withdrawal below and your legal rights when the service is faulty, payments for a period already started are not refunded. If something went wrong on our side, write to us; we will be fair.
Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. To withdraw, use the “Withdraw from the contract” button under Your plan on the app's Usage page, or send us a clear statement (for example by email to [email protected], which may use the form below) before the 14 days are over.
If you withdraw, we refund all payments for that plan within 14 days, using the same payment method. Because a subscription starts straight away when you ask for it, if you asked us to start during the withdrawal period you pay only for the days you used before withdrawing, in proportion to the full price, and we refund the rest.
Model withdrawal form (fill in and send only if you want to withdraw)

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: MindWren, plan: …
Ordered on: … · Name: … · Address: … · Email address of the account: …

10. If something is wrong with the service
If you are a consumer, you have the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services under Hungarian Government Decree 373/2021 (VI.30.) and the Civil Code: MindWren must work as described and as you can reasonably expect, for as long as you use it. If it doesn't, tell us at [email protected] and we will fix it within a reasonable time and free of charge. If we cannot or do not, you can ask for a proportionate price reduction or end the contract and get back what you paid for the period affected. For the free service, we will still do our best to fix problems quickly.
11. Changes to MindWren and to these terms
We improve MindWren continually, which means features change. We will not take away something central that you pay for without telling you in advance and, if it matters to you, letting you cancel and refunding the unused part.
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. For changes that affect you, we tell you at least 30 days in advance in the app or by email. If you don't agree, you can stop using MindWren and delete your account before the change takes effect; continuing to use it afterwards means you accept the new terms.
12. Leaving, and when we may end an account
You can stop using MindWren and delete your account at any time. Before you do, you can ask for an export of your data. Deleting your account deletes your data as described in the privacy policy.
We may suspend or close an account if it seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, if the law requires it, or to stop an immediate risk to MindWren, its users or others. Except in urgent cases, we will warn you first, say why, and give you a chance to respond and to export your data. You can challenge our decision by writing to [email protected]. If we ever decide to shut MindWren down altogether, we will give you at least 60 days' notice, refund any unused prepaid time, and let you export your data.
13. Liability
We are fully liable for damage we cause intentionally or by gross negligence, and for harm to life, body or health, as the Hungarian Civil Code requires. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not limited.
Beyond that, and as far as the law allows: we are not liable for losses caused by connected services, by AI output you relied on without checking it where checking was reasonable, or by events outside our reasonable control; and our total liability for any other damage is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it happened, or, if you used MindWren free of charge, to the damage that was foreseeable when you started using it.
Please keep your own copies of anything critical. MindWren is built carefully and backed up, but no service can promise to never lose data.
14. Our software and name
MindWren's software, design and name belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as part of using MindWren. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without obligation to you.
15. How the contract is made
- The contract is concluded electronically when your account is created. It is not a written contract in the legal sense, we do not file it as a separate document, and it can be read here at any time.
- Before submitting a sign-up or an order, you can check and correct what you typed; for a paid plan, the summary page before payment shows everything to check.
- The contract language is English. We also answer in Hungarian.
- We do not follow a separate code of conduct.
16. Law and disputes
Hungarian law applies. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
Please write to us first at [email protected]; we answer complaints within 30 days. As a consumer you can also turn to a conciliation body or consumer authority, as described in the legal notice, and you can bring a court case where you live. Businesses agree to the courts competent for our registered seat.
If a part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
